«Taza Kazakhstan» Campaign: environmental protection through the Rights and Responsibilities of Citizens
Within the framework of the «Taza Kazakhstan» campaign, the department of customs, financial and environmental law of the faculty of law at Al-Farabi Kazakh national university organized an event entitled «Environmental Protection through the Rights and Responsibilities of Citizens».
The main objective of the event was to enhance legal awareness in the field of environmental protection, foster citizens’ environmental responsibility, and promote the principles of sustainable development. During the meeting, current issues of environmental law, the rights and responsibilities of citizens in the field of nature protection, as well as the significance of the environmental legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan were widely discussed.
The event was opened by the Head of the Department, Doctor of Law, Professor G.A. Kuanalyieva, who emphasized the role of legal mechanisms in ensuring environmental safety. In addition, members of the academic staff of the Department - A.A. Yessekeyeva, G.K. Rasheva, S.M. Zhapakov, K.A. Bakhmanova - addressed the legal foundations of environmental protection and contemporary challenges in this sphere in their presentations.
Third-year students of the faculty of law actively participated in the event, expressing their views, asking questions, and engaging in discussions. The meeting contributed to deepening students’ knowledge in the field of environmental law and strengthening their civic position.
The event became one of the significant steps aimed at implementing the goals and objectives of the «Taza Kazakhstan» campaign.
