Students of Al-Farabi KazNU Took Part in the Celebration of International Hindi Language Day

On February 14, with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of India in the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Indian Cultural Centre, and the INCham Association of Indian Businessmen in Almaty, a ceremonial event dedicated to World Hindi Day – “Hindi Diwas” – was held. The celebration brought together representatives of the diplomatic corps, faculty members, and students studying Indian languages and culture.

Students of the Faculty of Oriental Studies actively participated in the event, demonstrating a high level of Hindi language proficiency and presenting creative performances reflecting the richness of Indian cultural traditions.

In their speeches, representatives of the Embassy highlighted the importance of developing cooperation between India and Kazakhstan, expressed gratitude to the faculty of Oriental Studies and the teachers for their professional training of students, and for supporting interest in the Indian language and culture.

The celebration of “Hindi Diwas” became a vivid example of successful partnership and confirmed the growing interest of young people in studying the Hindi language, opening new prospects for academic and professional cooperation. It is important to note that the Faculty of Oriental Studies is the only center In Kazakhstan for the study and teaching of the Hindi language.
