“CLEAN KAZAKHSTAN – THE CHOICE OF A CONSCIOUS GENERATION”

On February 11, 2026, a seminar titled “Clean Kazakhstan – The Choice of a Conscious Generation” was held at the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

The purpose of the seminar was to foster environmental culture among students, increase responsibility for environmental protection, and explain the key directions of the “Taza Kazakhstan” Concept for 2024–2029, initiated by the Head of State.

The event featured a presentation by Ainur Kabdrassulovna Tanybayeva, Associate Professor of the UNESCO Chair on Sustainable Development at the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Management, who delivered an informative report.

During the seminar, the speaker elaborated on the main priorities of the “Taza Kazakhstan” Environmental Culture Development Concept for 2024–2029, emphasizing the importance of strengthening environmental responsibility in society, promoting careful use of natural resources, and fostering a culture of environmental protection.

In addition, information was provided about the “National Environmental Campaign” service available on the e-Gov portal, and the opportunities for citizens to participate in environmental initiatives through this platform were explained. Issues such as environmental protection, reduction of household waste, improvement of environmental literacy, and integration of sustainable development principles into the education system were also discussed.

During the seminar, students and faculty members exchanged views and proposals on ways to develop environmental culture. The event contributed to raising participants’ awareness and responsibility for the state of the environment and to a deeper understanding of the significance of the “Taza Kazakhstan” initiative.
