A career guidance meeting was held with the participation of teachers of the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Sciences

On February 18, 2026, faculty members of the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Sciences and the UNESCO Chair on Sustainable Development, Mukanova G.A. and Kerimkulova A.B., conducted a career guidance event at School-Gymnasium No. 2 named after S. Seifullin.

The meeting was organized in the city of Talgar and was attended by 140 students from 6 classes. During the event, students were introduced to all educational programs of the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Sciences, as well as to the features and advantages of specialties in the fields of ecology, environmental protection and life safety, and sustainable development.                                                         

The faculty members provided comprehensive information about university admission requirements, opportunities for academic mobility, research activities, and future career prospects. In addition, students were able to ask questions of interest and receive specific guidance on choosing their future profession.

During the meeting, participants learned about the relevance of ecology and sustainable development in modern society, current trends in environmental protection, and the professional requirements for specialists in this field.

The career guidance event was conducted at a high level in an interactive format and aimed at helping students make an informed choice of their future profession.
