On February 17, 2026, second-year students majoring in Restaurant and Hotel Business visited one of Almaty's leading hotels, the Rahat Palace, as part of an extracurricular activity, along with Serik Mominov, senior lecturer in the Department of Recreational Geography and Tourism.
The comprehensive introductory tour for future hospitality industry professionals included:
- a welcome reception;
- an informative presentation about the hotel's operations, presented in an intellectual and game-like format;
- a demonstration of the various room categories;
- an introduction to the operations of individual hotel departments.
The students had the opportunity to see hotel service from the inside, ask professional questions, and compare theoretical knowledge with real-world practice.
The department expresses its sincere gratitude to the hotel staff for their high level of organization, hospitality, and contribution to the professional training of future specialists.
