Meeting on the topic “Social, Economic, and Family Consequences of Drug Addiction”
On February 19, 2026, at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, specialists of the Student Campus organized an educational meeting at Dormitory No. 4 on the topic “Social, Economic, and Family Consequences of Drug Addiction.” The main purpose of the event was to promote a healthy lifestyle among students, raise awareness about the dangers of drug addiction, and comprehensively discuss its negative impact on society.
The meeting was attended by Aizhan Muratovna Ryskeldiyeva, Deputy Dean for Social and Educational Work of the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Management, who delivered an informative presentation on the topic. In her speech, she emphasized that drug addiction affects not only an individual’s health but also has a negative impact on social stability, economic development, and family values.
During the meeting, issues such as drug addiction prevention, effective organization of young people’s leisure time, and legal responsibility were widely discussed. Students also shared their opinions and received answers to their questions.
At the conclusion of the event, participants were encouraged to avoid harmful habits and strive for education and self-development. Such educational meetings undoubtedly contribute to shaping students’ conscious attitudes and to building a healthy society.
