On February 17, 2026, the Faculty of International Relations hosted a guest lecture delivered by Suat Beylur, Director of the Eurasian Research Institute, on the topic: “The Role of the Organization of Turkic States in the Integration Process of the Turkic World.”

The event was organized within the framework of strengthening academic cooperation and promoting international scholarly dialogue. The lecture was attended by master’s and doctoral students, as well as faculty members.

In his presentation, Suat Beylur elaborated on the institutional foundations and principal areas of activity of the Organization of Turkic States, highlighting current trends in regional integration within the Turkic world. He also addressed the prospects and existing challenges of multilateral cooperation among member states, with particular emphasis on political coordination, economic partnership, and humanitarian collaboration.

As part of the meeting, the key publications of the Eurasian Research Institute were introduced, including the Eurasian Research Journal (ERJ), a peer-reviewed academic journal publishing thematic research in political science, economics, and sociology, as well as the publication Asya Avrupa.

The lecture provided master’s and doctoral students with the opportunity to engage with contemporary analytical approaches to regional integration processes and to participate in a substantive academic discussion. The event contributed to strengthening academic ties, fostering research capacity, and enhancing the professional training of future specialists in international relations.
