The opening of the Winter School took place at the Department of Japanese Studies

A welcome party for students of the University of Tsukuba was held at the Faculty of Oriental Studies, Department of the Far East, Japanese Studies Division of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The event was organized by first and second-year students.

The reception took place within the framework of the Winter School program and aimed at fostering academic exchange. The Japanese students were warmly welcomed and introduced to the culture and traditions of the Kazakh people.

During the evening, local students showcased national artistic performances, including the Kazakh dance “Kara Zhorga,” the girls’ dance “Sylkyldak,” and a performance of the traditional instrumental piece “Kenes,” along with other creative acts.

The festive evening was held in a friendly atmosphere and contributed to strengthening cultural ties between the youth of the two countries.
