Academic Mobility Experience in South Korea: Students of the Department of the Far East, Faculty of Oriental Studies

On February 20, 2026, students of the Department of the Far East at the Faculty of Oriental Studies held an educational event for first- and second-year students. The meeting was organized by third-year students who had previously studied at South Korean universities through academic mobility programs.

During the event, the students shared their experiences of studying abroad and presented the universities they had attended, including Sookmyung Women’s University, Dongguk University, and others. They spoke about the characteristics of the Korean education system, the academic environment, and student life, which sparked great interest among the audience.

A special part of the event was dedicated to the Korean Lunar New Year, Seollal. Participants were introduced to the meaning of the holiday and its cultural traditions. The event concluded with a short quiz, during which active participants were awarded gifts and prizes.
