24 february, 2026

At the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, teachers of the Department of Chemistry and Technology of Organic Substances, Natural Compounds and Polymers organized a meeting of 2-4-year students of the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology on the topic "Inclusive education: equal opportunities for all." The event was held with the participation of specialists in the educational work of the Center "Inclusive Environment" of KazNU.

The Center for Intercultural Communication and World Languages has been successfully operating at the Faculty of Philology of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University for ten years. Over the years, the Center has become an important scientific and educational platform, bringing together teachers, students and young researchers interested in the development of language education and intercultural dialogue. The Center's activities are aimed at developing a communicative culture of students, the ability for productive intercultural interaction and professional use of world languages in an academic and social environment. Language is considered here not only as a means of communication, but also as a key to understanding cultural values and the peculiarities of thinking of different peoples.

As emphasized by Bayan Umirbekovna Dzholdasbekova, Dean of the Faculty of Philology: "The Center for Intercultural Communication and World Languages is an important part of the scientific and educational space of the faculty. Its activities contribute to the integration of the educational process and scientific research, the formation of a professional linguistic personality and the development of intercultural dialogue, which corresponds to the strategic objectives of the university".

Director of the Begalieva Center Saule Bayazovna notes that over the years the Center has become a stable platform for combining science and education: "We strive to ensure that the study of world languages is accompanied by a deep understanding of the culture and values of other nations. The participation of students and teachers in scientific projects, conferences and international initiatives contributes to the formation of intercultural competence, which is in demand in the modern world".

The Center for Intercultural Communication and World Languages has been operating at the Faculty of Philology of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University since 2015. The main areas of activity are language education, intercultural communication, research and methodological work, and international cooperation. An important area of the Center's activity remains research work: holding seminars, round tables, conferences, as well as involving students and undergraduates in research activities. This contributes to the development of academic culture and professional growth of future specialists. In addition, the Center's resources are actively used in classes with international students, for whom participation in scientific events is a great opportunity to practice the Russian language and improve their oral and intercultural communication skills.

The anniversary of the Center is not only an occasion to take stock, but also an opportunity to outline the prospects for further development. In the context of globalization, intercultural communication and world languages continue to play a key role in shaping the modern scientific and educational space, and the Center's activities make a significant contribution to the development of philological education at al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
