SDG – 4: Building an Inclusive Educational Environment Meeting with Faculty Members of the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technologies

A meeting was held at the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technologies of the university with faculty members, dedicated to the formation of an inclusive and supportive student environment.

During the meeting, key aspects of inclusion in the educational space were discussed, including the value of diversity, respectful interaction, and the creation of equal opportunities for all students. Participants actively engaged in the discussion, shared their perspectives, and raised relevant issues related to inclusive interaction within the student community.

Following the discussion, an interactive activity was conducted with the faculty members, aimed at developing empathy, increasing awareness of individual differences, and fostering inclusive behavior skills. The practical component allowed participants to reflect on the importance of support, acceptance, and psychological safety within the learning environment through personal experience.

The event was organized by psychologists of the university’s psychological service in collaboration with an inclusion specialist and contributed to strengthening a culture of inclusion, mutual respect, and cooperation among students.

Special attention was given to the prevention of discrimination and the creation of a positive psychological climate within academic groups. Participants emphasized the importance of systematic efforts to develop inclusive competencies among both faculty and students. Future training sessions and awareness-raising activities within the framework of implementing inclusive education principles were also outlined. The meeting marked an important step toward building a sustainable and supportive educational environment at the university.
