“Women — The Light of the World”

On February 27, 2026, Chen Tianxin, a doctoral student of Translation Studies at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, held an educational event titled “Women — The Light of the World” with 3rd-year students of the group 6B02304 – Translation Studies. The event was conducted within the framework of pedagogical practice under the supervision of the group advisor, R.A. Torekhanova.

The purpose of the event was to promote moral values and respectful attitudes toward women, encourage reflection on equality, dignity, and responsibility, and develop students’ communication skills through interactive discussion and tasks.

The event began with a short introduction to the theme. Chen Tianxin asked the students what qualities and contributions they associate with women in their families, university life, and society. Students shared their views and gave examples highlighting women’s influence on personal development, social harmony, and cultural traditions.

Afterward, the students participated in interactive group tasks. They discussed short situations related to respectful communication and ethical behavior, analyzed key messages connected to the topic, and presented their conclusions to the class. In addition, the students completed a short quiz, answering questions that reinforced the main ideas of the lesson and helped consolidate their understanding.

At the end of the event, the students reflected on the significance of the topic and discussed how the values addressed in the lesson can be applied in everyday life and future professional communication. The event was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere, and the students expressed appreciation for the discussion and the opportunity to share their opinions.
