KazNU PhD Student Studies Inclusive Journalism in Malaysia
SDG-17 PhD student Әлімберді Ләззат is undertaking an international research internship at Universiti Sains Malaysia in Penang, Malaysia, where she was warmly welcomed by colleagues and the university’s academic community.
During the month-long internship, she will work under the supervision of Professor Juliana Abdul Wahab. The main research is conducted in the university’s academic library and focuses on journalism and inclusive communication, including international practices for ensuring access to information for people with visual impairments.
The internship program also includes participation in academic events, seminars, and discussions organized by the university. This provides an opportunity to exchange experiences with international colleagues, discuss current trends in media systems, and present the results of her own research.
The international internship contributes to strengthening global academic connections, expanding the empirical basis of the dissertation, supporting the professional development of the PhD student, and fostering collaboration between KazNU’s Faculty of Journalism and leading universities in Malaysia.
