📌 “Academic Governance and Education Quality: Intensive for Leaders and Faculty” (March 3–6, 2026, Almaty, Al-Farabi Library).
👥 Participants: Atakhanova G.M., Akbolatova M.E., Bissenova M.K., Izbassova A.B., and Zhakysh A.Zh. (Teaching & Learning Quality Committee member).
🤖 EXPERT PRACTICAL TRACK 2 “Rebuild-2026: Course redesign using GenAI tools”
⏱️ Duration / format: 4 hours (09:00–13:00), offline; Al-Farabi Library (reading hall)
👥 Audience: academic staff (up to 200 participants).
🧑🏫 Moderators: A. Galeeva (Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs) and A. Musinova (Head of the Educational Process Quality Assurance Unit).
👨💼 Expert support: innovative instructors facilitating the practical component
🎯 Track objective: to strengthen faculty competencies in course design, learning-outcome assessment, and the effective use of GenAI to improve teaching quality without increasing professional workload.
📚 Academic focus areas:
• aligning the course with the educational program;
• using the syllabus as a tool of pedagogical and academic governance;
• outcomes-based assignments and assessment;
• academic integrity in GenAI use;
• feedback and communication in on-campus and digital environments.
🧩 Work model: an introductory expert block + team-based practice on a unified task + presentation of team outputs.
🛠️ Mandatory GenAI workflow: Draft → Critique → Improve for each key artifact.
👩💻 Team setup: 36 teams × 5 people, laptop-based work supported by handouts.
🏁 Outcome: an updated course teaching & learning package (UMKD).
🧠 The department also joined Expert Practical Track 4: “Teaching Ethics and Conflict Management.”
