Methodological Seminar on Academic Governance and Education Quality Held at KazNU
On March 3–6, 2026, the Department of Academic Affairs of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University organized an expert strategic session entitled “Academic Governance and Education Quality: An Intensive for Leaders and Faculty Members” for faculty administrators and the university’s teaching staff. The main objective of the event was to improve the academic governance system and enhance the quality of education.
During the session, several key issues related to the effective organization of the educational process were discussed. Among them were “Systematizing Processes: Process Management in Educational Activities,” “Implementing Dual Education and Micro-credentials: A Practicum for Department Heads,” “University Strategy and Ranking Indicators: What is the Department’s Responsibility?” and “Teaching Ethics and Conflict Management.”
In order to disseminate the knowledge gained from the session, the Department of Chinese Studies of the Faculty of Oriental Studies organized a methodological and strategic seminar for its faculty members.
During the seminar, the Head of the Department F. Orazakynkyzy delivered a presentation titled “The Process of Implementing Dual Education and Micro-credentials,” highlighting international practices in introducing micro-credential programs in higher and lifelong education.
At the end of the seminar, participants emphasized the importance of implementing new approaches at the departmental level aimed at improving the quality of education.
