On March 10, 2026, an educational session titled “Strategies for Effective Time Management in Learning Chinese” was held at the Department of Chinese Studies of the Faculty of Oriental Studies at Al‑Farabi Kazakh National University. The event was organized by first-year doctoral students Denkai B., Ershat A., Makhmudova A.K., and Chen Jiaxu as part of their teaching practice.
The session was conducted within the course “Chinese Language: Practical Listening” for second-year students of the “Translation Studies” educational program. The main objective of the event was to explain the importance of effective time planning, proper organization of the learning process, and the use of efficient strategies when studying Chinese.
During the session, key principles of language learning such as consistency, systematic study, and not being afraid of making mistakes were discussed. Students exchanged opinions on the importance of daily practice, step-by-step mastery of learning materials, and improving language skills through continuous practice.
Participants also shared their personal experiences and discussed both the challenges and achievements encountered while learning the language. As a result of the discussion, it was emphasized that learning Chinese is not only an educational process but also an important investment in one’s professional future.
To effectively present the material, multimedia presentations, group work elements, and game-based learning techniques were used during the session. These methods encouraged active student participation and contributed to an engaging and interactive learning environment.
The event was attended by the head of the Department of Chinese Studies and faculty members, who highly appreciated the methodological level of the session, the organization of the learning process, and the application of modern educational technologies.
