The Faculty of Law is working on career guidance

On March 16, 2026, D.M. Baimakhanova, a lecturer in the Department of Theory and History of State and Law, Constitutional and Administrative Law, Faculty of Law at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, held a career guidance event for 10th-grade students at Linguistic Gymnasium No. 120.

In her speech to the students, D.M. Baimakhanova described the history of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and the university's Faculty of Law. D.M. Baimakhanova then explained that the Faculty of Law comprises four departments: Theory and History of State and Law, Constitutional and Administrative Law; Civil Law, Civil Procedure, and Labor Law; Environmental, Financial, and Customs Law; and Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure, and Forensic Science.

The speaker paid special attention to the description of the educational programs taught in the Department of Theory and History of State and Law, Constitutional and Administrative Law. The presentation further touched on issues related to scholarships, tuition fees for fee-paying students, and discounts available to outstanding students.

The students were particularly interested in the active student life at the faculty, including the scientific conferences and subject-specific Olympiads held, and the student clubs and clubs that specialize in scientific interests.

Dina Muratovna spoke about the faculty's active social life, its sports competitions, and its charitable events. Another topic of interest to the students was the military department and its internship and practical training.

The students asked the speaker numerous questions about the Admissions Committee and the Open Day. D.M. Baimakhanova provided the students with brochures about the department's activities and pointed out the websites of the university, faculty, department, and Admissions Committee.
