Advanced Training Course on New Technologies and Legal Reforms Launched at the Faculty of Law, KazNU

On March 16, 2026, the Department of Customs, Financial and Environmental Law of the Faculty of Law at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, with the support of the Institute for Advanced Training and Additional Education, launched an advanced training course titled «New Technologies and Legal Reforms: Artificial Intelligence, Digitalization, and the Rule of Law».
The opening ceremony of the course was conducted by the Head of the Department of Customs, Financial and Environmental Law of the Faculty of Law, Course Director, Doctor of Law, Professor Guldanа Amangeldievna Kuanalieva. In her speech, she emphasized the relevance of the program and highlighted the importance of applying modern technologies in the development of contemporary legal science.
The content of the course program, its objectives, and key tasks were presented by Senior Lecturer Ainash Yesekeeva, who provided participants with detailed information about the structure of the training process, the thematic areas of the course, and the expected learning outcomes.
In addition, qualified specialist and PhD holder Kanat Kozhabek shared his views, noting the important role of digitalization and artificial intelligence technologies in the legal sphere, as well as their significance in ensuring the rule of law.
During the event, members of the participating faculty asked a number of substantive questions, and an exchange of views took place on issues related to legal reforms, the legal regulation of artificial intelligence, and digitalization processes.
The advanced training course is designed for 80 hours and will take place from March 16 to March 31, 2026.
