Financial literacy is the basis for protecting the financial rights of citizens and the formation of legal financial relations
On March 16, 2026, at the Faculty of Medicine and Health, the departments "Health Policy and Organization", "Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Evidence-Based Medicine", together with the Higher School of Economics and Business, the Department of Finance and Accounting, held an open lecture for teachers, doctoral students and undergraduates on the topic: “Financial literacy is the basis for protecting the financial rights of citizens and the formation of legal financial relations”. Financial literacy is a combination of knowledge, skills, and attitudes that enables individuals to manage their money wisely, plan their budget, build savings, and make informed financial decisions. It includes an understanding of how banking products, investments, and insurance work, as well as the ability to protect one’s rights, avoid fraud, and manage debt.
Lecturers Supugalieva G.I., Khadjiyeva A.B. spoke about the conceptual foundations of financial literacy, digital financial literacy, measures to improve financial literacy, risks of digital financial services and mechanisms for protecting the financial rights of citizens, problems and challenges.
