Discussion Club on Abai’s “Tolyq adam” (“Complete Person”) Concept

20 march, 2026

On March 20, 2026, at 11:00, a discussion club dedicated to Abai Kunanbayev’s concept of the “Tolyq adam” (“Complete Person”) was held among 3rd-year students majoring in “Foreign Language: Two Foreign Languages.” The event was organized by lecturer Kartabayeva A.A.

The main objective of the session was to enhance students’ critical thinking skills, develop their ability to express and justify opinions, and deepen their understanding of moral and spiritual values.

During the discussion, students explored the essence of the “Tolyq adam” (“Complete Person”) concept and examined its relevance in modern society. Based on Abai’s “Words of Edification,” group discussions were conducted, allowing participants to analyze philosophical ideas and relate them to contemporary life. Special attention was given to topics such as self-development, ethical values, and the role of education in shaping a well-rounded individual.

As a result, students showed active participation, strong communication skills, and a deeper awareness of the importance of personal and spiritual growth.
