International Scientific and Practical Conference “Oriental Studies in Kazakhstan and the Issues of Spiritual Revival”

On September 22, 2017 R.B. Suleimenov Institute of Oriental Studies, Committee of Science at the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan and al-Farabi Kazakh National University hold an International Scientific and Practical Conference “Oriental Studies in Kazakhstan and the Issues of Spiritual Revival” dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Professor Abdsattar Derbisali – Senior Doctorate in Philology, Member-correspondent of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Academician of the Academy of Sciences of the Higher School.

 Conference Program includes the following sections:

Section 1. Source study and historiography of the history of Kazakhstan and Central Asia

Section 2. Arabic philology within the context of development of Oriental science in Kazakhstan

Section 3. Outstanding thinkers and personalities of medieval Kazakhstan and Central Asia

Section 4. Religion and society in Kazakhstan: a retrospective and a perspective

Section 5. Spiritual modernization in Kazakhstan and the global challenges of our time

 Famous orientalists, philologists, historians, cultural and religious studies scholars, political scientists, diplomats, representatives of government bodies, business, public organizations of Kazakhstan and foreign countries will take part in the Conference.

We cordially invite you to participate in the Conference and hence request to submit an application for participation in the Conference along with abstract of your presentation by June 15, 2017.

Conference working languages are Kazakh, Russian, English and Arabic.
