The international student forum "Step into the Future" was held

In September 2022, the preparation of a joint educational program “Intercultural Communication along the Eurasian Axis” at the master’s level among universities in five countries, in particular Japan, Germany, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Bulgaria, was discussed in the Erasmus + Foundation program.

During this meeting, as the beginning of this project, it was planned to hold a student forum among students from these countries. On November 17-18, 2022, the international student forum "Step into the Future" was held among students of Al-Farabi KazNU, Sofia University (Bulgaria), Canakale University (Turkey), Moscow City University (Russia). Four students from each university participated. They presented pre-prepared videos on the theme "Japanese Branch Student Day". In this video, students from each university presented their student life. The students presented a 7-minute video. After watching the video, representatives from each university will ask questions and discuss one day of students from each country.

On the second day of the forum on November 18, students participating in the Student Forum were divided into 3 groups, each of which was assigned a moderator. Each group took 5 minutes to present their ideas on the topic "The Future of the Japanese Branch", ask each other questions and make a conclusion about the proposed ideas about the Japanese language and its future in foreign countries. After that, all the groups came together and the moderators of each group presented their group's thoughts on the topic and the group's desired vision. After summarizing the concepts of all 3 groups, a general discussion was held. We believe that the forum has become a fruitful event where students studying Japanese from different countries got to know each other, shared their experience of learning Japanese, and saw the peculiarities of each country.
