The day when young generation should become responsible for the future of their country and its language

On November 29, 2022, the event was held in the conference hall of N.Dauletov National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan within the framework of the "Language School" Workshop: "Kazakh sonin Kunary", dedicated to the 85th anniversary of Seidin Bizakuly, Doctor of Philology, professor, the holder of the badge "Til Zhanashyry".

       Anar Fazylzhanovna,  the director of Akhmet Baitursynov’s Institute of Linguistics, opened the meeting with the welcoming speech. The video on the topic: "The viability of language in the value and power of the word", prepared by the Department of "Lexicology" of the Institute, was shown. The video dedicated to Professor S. Bizakula’s life and work was also shown at the event. The video told in detail about the scholar’s work and family life.

     The famous philologists made the reports during the event.   The senior research assistant of A. Baitursynov Institute of Linguistics, Doctor of Philology, Professor Myrzabergen Malbakovich made the report on the topic: " Professor S. Bizakov’s Contribution to modern Kazakh lexicography". Professor of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Doctor of Philology, Head of the Department of A. Baitursynov Kazakh Linguistics, Anar Salkynbai made the reports on the topic: "Turkic community according the understanding  of a scholar". Associate Professor of KazNPU, Candidate of Philological Sciences Sayan Zhirenov made the report on the topic: " The artistic features of the Kazakh word: from the experience of compiling a dictionary of synonyms by S. Bizakov". The senior research assistant of A. Baitursynov Institute of Linguistics, Candidate of Philological Sciences Aigul Amirbekova made the presentation on the topic: "The productivity of the Kazakh word: mood vocabulary". Associate professor of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Gulmira Zhetkergen made the report on the topic: "Variability of the Kazakh word: alternative names and  noncompetitive words". The speakers made a profound analysis of S. Bizakov’s works and expressed their views on teaching language disciplines.

           The scholars have placed a huge responsibility on the 2nd year students of Kazakh philology of the Philological Faculty of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University as people who will continue their work. They noted that the future of Kazakh language is in the hands of these young people. The scholars who visited the event said the most important goal for all philologists of Kazakhstan today would be  to raise the status and prestige of Kazakh language.

The 2nd year student , Ilyas Merey said "Today we were able to enrich our knowledge and receive a lot of valuable and interesting information. Two or three hours spent among great scholars gave us valuable experience and knowledge that will be of a great use in the future. Probably, this is the "best day" in our life which we will never forget.

During the event, there was the presentation of the work by Seidin Bizakov: "Dictionary of synonyms of Kazakh language" was presented, which also celebrates its 85th anniversary.
