Oratory competition among students of the Japanese language in Kazakhstan

     On March 11, the 26th competition of oratory in Japanese was held among students studying Japanese in Kazakhstan. This competition is held annually at the initiative of the International Japan Foundation and the Embassy of Japan in Kazakhstan in order to support the development and dissemination of the Japanese language in foreign countries.

Organizers of the competition: Association of Japanese Language Teachers of Kazakhstan; Embassy of Japan in Kazakhstan; KazNU named after Al Farabi

Contest sponsors: Association of Japanese Businessmen of Kazakhstan, Association of Japanese of Kazakhstan; Kazakh-Japanese Center for the Development of Human Resources.

    In addition to seventeen students from all over Kazakhstan, 4 students of the Department of the Far East of the Department of Japanese Studies of the Faculty of Oriental Studies of the Kazakh National University named after. al-Farabi. 

    According to the results of the competition, the 2nd year student of the Department of the Far East of the Department of Japanese Studies Kabysh Aziza took 3rd place, Pazylbekova Diana, a 3rd year student, took 5th place. The representative of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Japan, Batyrkhan Kurmanseit, presented a special prize named after Batyrkhan Kurmanseit to Rakhima Yerezhepova, a 3rd year student of the Department of the Far East of the Department of Japanese Studies.
