A conference dedicated to the importance of relations between Kazakhstan and China was held

     On April 14, 2023, at the Faculty of Oriental Studies of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, the international scientific and practical conference "regional and world significance of the development of relations between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the PRC" was held, organized by the Department of Chinese Studies at the University in honor of the 10th anniversary of the creation of the "Center for the study of modern China". The purpose of the conference was to study the regional and world significance of the accumulated problems and achievements of the two countries in the course of their relations, considering the process of development of diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and China. A number of foreign scientists, as well as domestic Chinese scientists, showed great interest in the work of the conference. Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, candidate of historical sciences, associate professor em N. B. He highly appreciated the work of the Center for 10 years, emphasizing its contribution to the study of important international issues, training of scientific personnel, development of Educational, Scientific and cultural ties between the two countries. Director of the" Center for the study of modern China", doctor of technical sciences, professor of the Department of Chinese Studies N. Mukametkhanuly familiarized the conference participants with the progress of work and achievements that have been carried out for 10 years, and also touched upon a number of issues that prevent the center from further optimizing its work and achieving good results. The conference was attended by well-known scientists, who also expressed valuable ideas on the international situation in terms of the development of relations between Kazakhstan and China. In general, the goal set for the conference was fully achieved and successfully completed its work.
