Within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals (Goal 16. Promote a peaceful and inclusive society for sustainable development, ensuring access to justice for all and creating effective, accountable and participatory institutions at all levels) on the initiative of the head of the Department of Civil Law and Civil Procedure , labor law, doctor of legal sciences, professor Suleimenova S.Zh. At the Faculty of Law, a guest lecture was held with the President of the Republican Public Association “Union of Mediators and Lawyers “Man and Law”” Gulbara Akmatovna Dzhirembayeva on the topic “Mechanisms for the use of alternative methods of resolving disputes in civil proceedings” for 4th year students of the specialty “6B04205 Jurisprudence”. The moderator of this event was Asanova S.E. - senior lecturer, PhD Doctor. The lecture covered current issues of theory and law enforcement practice on the topic: “Mechanisms for alternative dispute resolution,” where for alternative dispute resolution, which is largely focused on mutual concessions of the parties, the protection of rights is, of course, desirable, but not a priority goal. Alternative dispute resolution is aimed primarily at ending the conflict, which is the basis of a legal dispute. It is the predominance of this goal that determines most of the fundamental differences between alternative procedures and traditional legal proceedings, which must be taken into account by the judge-mediator (professional mediator) when providing legal assistance.
The students showed interest and actively participated in the discussion. The meeting was attended by Doctor of Law, Professor S.T. Tynybekov, Ph.D., Associate Professor G.G. Nurakhmetov and the teaching staff of the department.
