Student Volunteer Club "Shapagat" - a voluntary association of students was established in 2012 at the Department of Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure and Criminalistics of the Faculty of Law of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The goals of the activity of the Shapagat ICS are to attract public attention to the problems of socially vulnerable segments of the population, to provide charitable assistance, to develop students' civic consciousness, to promote the ideas of voluntary work for the benefit of society, to attract students to solving socially significant problems. The objectives of the Shapagat ICS are to educate students in an active civic position, the formation of leadership and moral and ethical qualities, a sense of patriotism, the involvement of students in projects related to the provision of socio-psychological and socio-legal support to various groups of the population, support for student initiatives in the implementation of preventive and outreach programs, conducting and participating in events aimed at supporting veterans, pensioners and children from orphanages. Today, within the framework of SDG 1 of the UN IC "Shapagat", a charity fair "Miracles with your own hands" was held, in which students of 1-4 courses of our faculty actively participated. With the proceeds, it was decided to purchase and hand over food baskets to veterans of labor in Almaty.
