“UN Goals: Decent work and economic growth: why is it important?”
On 18 October 2023, an open lecture was held for law students on the topic: “UN Goals: Decent work and economic growth: why is it important?” The lecture was organized by the Head of Department of Customs, Financial and Environmental Law, Doctor of Law, Professor Kuanalieva G.A. and associate professor of the specified department, candidate of legal sciences Kalymbek B..
The lecturer was Abildayev Isa Ermekovich - Deputy. Director of the Retail Business Department of Altyn Bank JSC (SB JSC China CITIC Bank Corporation Ltd), who has extensive practical experience. The lecturer, in an accessible form and based on interactive methods of presenting the material presented, was able to build a dialogue with the present participants of the lecture and answered a number of questions on its topic. The lecturer emphasized the importance and significance of achieving decent work and economic growth, not only as key development goals, but also in the context of ensuring the fundamental rights of every person. He also encouraged students to take part in projects and initiatives aimed at achieving Goal 8 and become activists by becoming economic and social agents of change.
