International Exhibition on Turkic petroglyphs, ceramics, tribal tamgas and runic writing in Bern, Switzerland, held in the honor of the Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan
On October 26, 2023, the lecturer in the Department of Turkic Studies and Theory of Language at the Faculty of Philology of al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Espenbetov Erlan took part in the International Exhibition on Turkic petroglyphs, ceramics, tribal tamgas and runic writing in Bern, Switzerland, held in the honor of the Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Switzerland, the International Foundation for Turkic Culture and Heritage, as well as the "Uly Budun" public foundation supported the given event. The Turkic diaspora in Switzerland as well as the local population were highly intrigued by the event. The craftsmen from different Turkic countries participated in this exhibition:
● Ceramist Zhumagul Tashiev (Kyrgyzstan), the creator of "Saimaly Tash" series’s works, the member of Kyrgyz Republic’s Union of Artists, the co-founder of the Toiart ceramics studio;
● Sanzhar Zhubanov (Kazakhstan), an artists working with stone and petrogplyphs;
● Sabit Gurbanov (Azerbaijan) is an ancestral tamgas and petroglyph researcher.
