"Prevention of delinquency and crime among young people"

As noted by M.S. Kruter, the upbringing of the younger generation, the ability of the state and its institutions to keep young people from conflict with the law, to intelligently organize a system of criminological protection of society from crime and the youth itself - from various kinds of criminogenic influences - all these are among the most important criteria for the maturity of society, the wisdom of its power, stability and reliability, prospects development of the country. The issues of crime prevention among young people are very relevant. 2nd year doctoral students of the Faculty of Postgraduate Education of the Almaty Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs named after M. Esbulatova Abikenov A.N., Kurmangalieva L.Zh., Amanova D.T., Sisenov N.M. are interning at the Department of Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure and Criminalistics. On November 1, 2023, as part of the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals 16, they met with 3rd-year students of the Law Faculty of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and gave a lecture on: "Prevention of delinquency and crime among young people". The lecture was held in order to prevent crime among students.

The doctoral students told about the causes of crime, the criminogenic situation, about the penalties for crimes provided for by the criminal legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, what means and methods can be used to prevent crimes among this category of citizens. The students asked the questions they were interested in, to which they received exhaustive answers. The youth was very pleased with the meeting and noted how important they are for legal education, prevention of antisocial behavior.
