The issues of combating juvenile delinquency have always occupied one of the leading places in the prevention of criminal offenses. The number of young criminals is an indicator of the social situation in the country both now and in the future. On November 20, 2023, as part of the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals 16, on the eve of the celebration of the 90th anniversary of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, 2nd year doctoral students of the Faculty of Postgraduate Education of the Almaty Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs named after M. Esbulatov Abikenov A.N., Kurmangalieva L.Zh., Amanova D.T., Sisenov N.M. we met with 2nd year students of the Faculty of Law of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and gave a lecture on: "Prevention of juvenile delinquency". The lecture was held in order to consider the theoretical and practical problems of juvenile delinquency prevention caused by the psychophysiological characteristics of minors. The doctoral students talked about the causes of juvenile delinquency, considered issues to improve the effectiveness of the activities of the subjects of juvenile crime prevention, taking into account the characteristics of their personality and the nature of the crimes they commit. The students, in turn, noted that the problems of unemployment, alcoholism, drug addiction, falling morals, cannot but affect the indicators of this type of crime.
