Reduction of inequality within and between countries

On November 21, 2023 at 15:00 at the Faculty of Law of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University within the framework of SDG 10 "Reduction of inequality within and between countries" by the teachers of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law, Constitutional and Administrative Law doctor of law Baymakhanova D.M. and Candidate of legal sciences Kusainov D.O. was A round table was organized on the topic "Admission to citizenship: simplified procedure for oralmans (kandas)". The speakers at the round table were 3rd year students of the Faculty of Law, G.D. Marsova and A.E. Igen.
​Speaking with the presentation, the speakers highlighted the following issues: the concept of kandases was given, the etymology of this word was revealed and statistics were given on how many kandases came to Kazakhstan during the years of independence. The speakers paid special attention to the development of the legal basis for acquiring citizenship of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The conditions of admission to citizenship were disclosed, it was noted who can apply for a simplified registration procedure for acquiring citizenship. The speakers focused on the analysis of the grounds for refusal of admission to citizenship of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
​Special attention was paid to the procedure for collecting and compiling documents attached to the application for admission to citizenship of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Concluding their speech, the speakers noted the importance of a simplified procedure for admission to citizenship of the Republic of Kazakhstan for people who once left their homeland against their will.
