Peace, Justice and effective institutions

On November 17, 2023, within the walls of the Faculty of Law of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, within the framework of the UN global program to achieve the 16 Sustainable Development Goal "Peace, Justice and effective institutions", students of the 206th group together with the lecturer of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law, Constitutional and Administrative Law Mereke A.K. held a trial on the example of actual offenses against the individual in society. 
On November 14 of the current year on one of the streets ofTaraz in the evening, the driver of the car violated the rules of the road, crashed into a traffic light. As a result, the traffic light fell on the head of a 21-year-old pregnant woman trying to cross a pedestrian crossing. The driver of the car fled the scene of the accident. Based on this situation, the students were divided into roles and conducted a trial. At the court session, the students, within the framework of their duties, presented various evidence in the case and had a heated discussion. Following the results of the business game, the students came to a common decision and gave a fair legal assessment of the case.
