On November 15, 1993, Kazakhstan introduced its own currency – tenge, which allowed our country to build and develop a market economy. The national currency is an integral attribute of Independence and the basis of the monetary system of the state. In 2023, the national currency of Kazakhstan – tenge – turns 30 years old.
At the Department of Language and General Education Training of Foreigners of the Faculty of Pre-university Education, within the framework of the sustainable development goals "Quality education" project, teachers of the Department of Language and General Education Training of foreigners held a thematic event - an open curatorial hour, at which they told listeners from abroad interesting facts about the history of the creation of tenge, about the significance of the fact of the introduction of the national currency in Kazakhstan. The presentation prepared by the teachers allowed students to demonstrate samples of banknotes from the very first to modern ones. Foreign listeners reacted with great interest to the presented material.
