Results of the international scientific webinar on the topic: "The Concept of Contract in the Legislation of Kazakhstan and in Continental Law"

In anticipation of the 90th anniversary of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University on December 7, 2023, the Department of Civil Law, Civil Procedure, and Labor Law organized an international scientific webinar as part of the implementation and achievement of the Target University Result №4 "Quality Education." The webinar focused on the theme: "The Concept of Contract in the Legislation of Kazakhstan and in Continental Law," with participation from representatives of the Faculty of Law and the Department of Civil Law and Procedure at Osh State University, under the guidance of the head of the department, Suleimenova Saule Zhusupbekovna.

The objective of the international scientific webinar was to elucidate the concept of a contract and discuss current issues in contractual law in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The first speaker was Mukhamedzhan Akmaral Bolatbekkyzy, a first-year doctoral student at the Department of Theory and History of State and Law, Constitutional and Administrative Law. The first invited speaker was Merkulova Danel Konstantinovna, a first-year master's student at the Eurasian Law University named after D.A. Kunaev. The second invited speaker was Lebaev Maxat Rashituly, the head of the legal department at "PromInvest Almaty" LLP.

The international scientific webinar successfully delved into key aspects of contract theory, examined current facets of contractual law, analyzed relevant judicial precedents, and discussed the practical application of legislation. Participants gained profound insights into how the concept of a contract has evolved in the legal system of Kazakhstan and continental law, enriching their professional and scholarly expertise in this field.
