Response to the interview of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev dated January 3, 2024

On January 3, 2024, an interview with the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was published in the Egemen Qazaqstan newspaper, where the head of state spoke about various aspects of the foreign, internal and socio-economic policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In particular, issues of cooperation with China and Russia, political reforms and the construction of nuclear power plants in the Republic of Kazakhstan were discussed. The Head of State expressed confidence in the need to continue the current political and socio-economic course of Kazakhstan. The countries of the East currently play an important role in world politics and economics. China, Turkey, the Republic of Korea, Japan, India, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Iran are strategically important trade and investment partners of Kazakhstan. Turkish, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Arabic, Hindi, Urdu, Persian languages, history, economics, foreign policy, culture, religion, socio-political system of Eastern states are studied at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University at the Faculty of Oriental Studies. The analysis of foreign and domestic policy, the study of the experience of socio-economic and political reforms of the eastern states are strategically important for the promotion of foreign policy and socio-economic initiatives of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
