A SEMINAR "MODERN PROBLEMS OF APPLIED AND COMPUTATIONAL MATHEMATICS" WAS HELD AT THE FACULTY OF MECHANICS AND MATHEMATICS WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE 90TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE AL-FARABI KAZAKH NATIONAL UNIVERSITY.
Events dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University have begun. Among the first such events is the modernization and modernization of the city scientific seminar at the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics “Modern Problems of Applied and Computational Mathematics”. Where the leaders of the seminar were Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Ph.D., Professor B.T. Zhumagulov and Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Ph.D., Professor U.S. Abdibekov.
At the seminar, the report "Solving problems of ecology and geology by the method of conjugate equations" was delivered by Professor of Mathematical and Computer Modeling, Ph.D., Professor Temirbekov N.M.
The report presented the results of a study of the fictitious domain method for Navier-Stokes equations using the theory of conjugate equations and variational principles.
The duality principle is used for the task of transferring impurities of pollutants and as a result, a method for assimilating data from automated atmospheric air monitoring systems of industrial cities and facilities has been developed.
The method of conjugate equations solves the problem of extensions of potential fields towards disturbing masses, which is described by the Fredholm integral equation of the first kind.
The seminar was attended by teachers, doctoral students and undergraduates of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics.
