“Peace, justice and effective institutions” SDG No. 16

On January 26, 2024, Candidate of Law, Acting Associate Professor G.S. Kalieva conducted a scientific seminar with students of the Faculty of Law on the topic: “Peace, justice and effective institutions” within the framework of SDG No. 16. As part of the scientific seminar, it was noted that it is necessary to promote the building of harmonious and open communities in the interests of sustainable development, ensuring universal access to justice and the creation at all levels of effective, accountable institutions that promote the participation of large sections of the population in political and economic life. It was emphasized that fair and effective institutions are of great importance in the lives of women, ensuring their access to justice and basic social services. Their absence leads to instability and entrenched injustice, which in turn creates conditions for discrimination to flourish.
