Abiba Abuzhakynova, a 2nd year student at the Faculty of Law of al-Farabi Kazakh National University, won the bronze medal in the weight class of up to 48 kilograms at the World Judo Grand Prix in Portugal. Abiba Abuzhakynova competed with Turkish judo wrestler Silu Ersin for third place. The tournament in Odivelas is the first on the International Judo Federation calendar for 2024. There were a total of 624 judoka from 90 countries.
