A scientific seminar “The Changing Reality of Saudi Arabia” was held
On February 15, 2024, within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) project, Professor of the Department of the Middle East and South Asia, Ph.D. G.Ye. Nadirova gave a lecture in English on the topic “The changing reality of Saudi Arabia”. This lecture is a continuation of scientific seminars held as part of the practice of 4th year students of the “Foreign Philology” speciality of the Egyptian University of Islamic Culture “Nur-Mubarak”.
The lecture is devoted to new trends in the domestic life and foreign policy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Special attention was paid to the position and possibilities of solving the Palestinian-Israeli confrontation, which began on October 7 with a provocative attack by Hamas militants in Israel. The difficulties of building an international security system are analyzed, as well as the balance of power in the political arena of the Gulf region and the prospects for the participation of world superpowers in the region.
The seminar was organized within the framework of a bilateral agreement between the Faculty of Oriental Studies of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and the Egyptian University of Islamic Culture Nur-Mubarak.
