KazNU scientists - winners of grant competitions

Scientists of Al-Farabi KazNU demonstrated the best results among universities, winning the largest number of scientific projects in grant funding competitions for 2024-2026.

In aggregate, the university scientists won 110 projects. In particular, 25 scientists won in the Zhas Galym postdoctoral competition, 7 - in the competition for young scientists under 40 years old (KMU), and 78 - in the general grant funding (GF) competition.

In the scientific areas:

"Advanced Manufacturing, Digital and Space Technologies" - 14 (3 "Zhas Galym" projects, 1 CMU project and 11 GF projects).
"Energy, advanced materials and transport" - 13 (5 Jas Galym projects and 8 GF projects).
Intellectual potential of the country in the section "Natural Sciences" - 16 (5 Jas Galym projects, 11 GF projects).
Intellectual potential of the country in the section "Social Sciences, Humanities and Arts" - 22 (5 "Jas Galym" projects, 2 CMU projects and 15 GF projects).
"Sustainable development of agro-industrial complex" - 4 (1 "Zhas galym" project, 1 CMU project and 2 GF projects).
"Life Science and Health" - 15 (4 Jas Galym projects, 11 GF projects).
"National security and defence, biological security" - 1 (GF project).
"Ecology, environment and rational use of natural resources" - 24 (2 "Jas galym" projects, 3 CMU projects and 19 GF projects).
In percentage terms, this is 10.2 per cent of the total number of projects (1,077) in the Republic of Kazakhstan that won in the competitions held under the 2024-2026 grant funding.
