Meeting of 1st-year Master's and PhD Students of the Department of «Tourism» with the Head of the Department and the Dean of the Faculty

19 september, 2024

On September 18, 2024, an important meeting of master’s and doctoral students in the «Tourism» program was held, with the participation of the department head and the deputy dean of the faculty. The meeting focused on strategic directions for students’ academic life and research activities, as well as ways to encourage their more active involvement in the department’s and university’s life.

The key topic of discussion was the opportunities for internships, which offer students a unique chance to apply their theoretical knowledge in a real-world professional environment. Special attention was given to international internships, which provide students with access to extensive opportunities for professional and personal growth. These programs not only expand academic experience but also strengthen professional networks, playing a crucial role in the development of highly qualified specialists in demand on a global scale.

Additionally, the meeting participants considered various ways to engage students in research projects, educational events, and community initiatives. It was noted that active participation in such activities fosters leadership qualities, the development of creative thinking, and the creation of professional networks—indispensable in the field of tourism, where both knowledge and the ability to work effectively in a team and find innovative solutions are essential.

The meeting concluded with a discussion on the future development of the department and strengthening its position in the international educational arena. It was emphasized that opening new opportunities for students, involving them in research, and encouraging participation in global educational programs are key elements of the department’s strategy aimed at preparing world-class specialists.
