THE REFERENDUM ON THE CONSTRUCTION OF A NUCLEAR POWER PLANT

On September 2, 2024, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed a decree on holding a republican referendum on the construction of a nuclear power plant on October 6, in accordance with paragraph 10 of Article 44 of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan and article 18 of the Constitutional Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On a republican referendum".
The upcoming referendum will be another vivid manifestation of a broad national dialogue. We hope that the construction of the nuclear power plant will make a significant contribution to the growth of the country's economy and the development of technology in the country.
