MASTER'S STUDENTS OF AL-FARABI KAZAKH NATIONAL UNIVERSITY RECEIVED THE "ABAI-VERN" SCHOLARSHIP
Master's students of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University won the "Abai-Vern" scholarship, allowing them to continue their education in France.
The Department of Mechanics of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics is proud to announce its remarkable achievement. Graduates of the double degree educational program "7M05405-Mechanics and Power Engineering", implemented at the Department of Mechanics, took part in the competition of the "Abai-Vern" scholarship program and won a scholarship to continue their education at French universities in the 2024-2025 academic year. The decision was made at a meeting of the joint French-Kazakh commission. Winners among Master's students:

The Abay-Vern scholarship program provides the winners with a monthly family stipend of 800 euros for 10 months. Master's students will study for free at the University of Lorraine in Nancy, France, from September 2024 to June 2025.
In addition, social scholarships are provided, scholarship holders are exempt from paying registration fees to public higher education institutions and receive a free long-term visa to the Schengen area.
In 2024, following the meeting of the Franco-Kazakhstani joint commission, 51 candidates were approved (46 Master's students, 5 doctoral students). Among them, 9 postgraduate students are representatives of the Mechanics Department, which we consider a significant achievement for our university.
We congratulate the winners of the Abay-Vern scholarship and express our sincere gratitude to all applicants interested in studying in France. This achievement not only confirms the high level of training of our students, but also opens up new opportunities for their educational and professional growth, specifically for achieving the 4th Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) — quality education.
