Kazakh Merey Maulitkanov, a 4th–year student of the specialty "Physical Culture and Sports" of KazNU, became the Asian champion in the weight category up to 72 kilograms.

The silver medal in the national team's piggy bank was awarded to Diaz Askerbai (67 kg), a 4th–year student of the specialty "Physical Culture and Sports" of KazNU.
