MCM Department Students Receive Invitations for the Referendum

Students of the Department of Mathematical and Computer Modeling at the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of Kazakhstan National University, who reside in the university dormitory, have received invitation cards to participate in the referendum on building a nuclear power plant. This referendum covers key aspects of the UN's Sustainable Development Goals: SDG 7, aimed at ensuring access to affordable, reliable, sustainable, and modern energy, and SDG 13, which calls for urgent actions to combat climate change.
These goals highlight the importance of making reasoned decisions that will ensure energy independence and ecological sustainability. Voting in the referendum gives students the opportunity to influence the future, where the balance between energy and ecology is crucial.
For many students, this vote will be their first experience of expressing their opinion at the national level as adult citizens, making their participation particularly significant.
