"Equal rights and opportunities"

        On October 7, 2024, the 1st year students of the Department of "Foreign Philology and Translation" of the Philological Faculty of Farabi Kazakh National University held an event on gender equality entitled "Equal rights and opportunities" within the framework of SDG 5 "Gender Equality".

        In their speeches, the students stressed the importance of equal access to education, health care and employment for all genders. They also discussed the existing barriers and discrimination faced by women. Within the framework of the event, a discussion was held where students could share their experiences and propose solutions to increase the level of gender equality in society. Special attention was paid to the issues of support for women in business, equal pay and elimination of gender-based violence.

        The main idea of the event was to convey to others that such conferences play an important role in shaping public opinion and encourage action at all levels. The final chord of the event was the adoption of a resolution in which the participants expressed their commitment to further actions to promote gender equality and establish equal rights and opportunities for all citizens. The Equal Rights and Opportunities event was an important milestone on the path to gender equality and received positive feedback from students, many of whom expressed a desire to continue to actively participate in such initiatives.
