THE FACULTY OF ORIENTAL STUDIES HELD A SEMINAR ACCORDING TO THE SDGS OF KAZNU "GENDER EQUALITY"

The Faculty of Oriental Studies within the framework of the sustainable development program continues to introduce valuable knowledge to the scientific community. In this regard, an online scientific seminar was held on October 08, 2024 on the ZOOM platform, where the main speaker was Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor Nadirova Gulnar Yermuratovna. The topic «Gender Equality and Eastern Countries» was chosen to discuss the issues of gender policy in modern society.

The aim of this seminar was to consider the actual problems of gender equality, which is necessary for a sustainable and prosperous world.

In her speech, Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor G.E. Nadirova elaborated on the topic of gender equality in the Eastern countries and outlined the current challenges facing the state system and emphasized the importance of participation of every citizen in supporting this issue. The speaker also noted the importance of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which was adopted by the UN General Assembly on December 10, 1948 and confirmed that every person should know all his rights set forth in this declaration, without any distinction as to race, religion or other status. As an example, the Speaker emphasized that our country has made great efforts to achieve gender equality and empowerment of different ethnicities and women in line with the Sustainable Development Goals.

The scientific seminar was attended by students, masters, doctoral students and faculty members of the faculty. The participants of the meeting asked interesting questions to the speaker and discussed gender policy in modern society. In conclusion, all the participants of the seminar noted the relevance of the topic and thanked the speaker, Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor G.E. Nadirova for her vivid presentation.

In general, the scientific seminar became a platform for the exchange of different scientific ideas, involving young scientists and experts on gender equality in an interesting discussion.
