Participation of the  «Rescuer» Club in a Citywide Seismic Drill

On October 17, 2024, a citywide seismic drill was held in Almaty, during which the population's readiness to act in the event of an earthquake was tested. At 10:00, sirens sounded throughout the city, signaling the start of the drill for all educational institutions and enterprises. Students of the Faculty of Geography and Nature Management, together with teachers, left the classrooms in an organized manner and went to safe open spaces, strictly following the evacuation instructions.

Particular attention to the drill was paid by the participants of the Rescuer Club, which unites students of the educational program "Life Safety and Environmental Protection". The club's students actively participated in the drill, checking the readiness of their peers and teachers for the correct actions in the event of a real earthquake. They not only monitored the implementation of evacuation rules, but also consulted on issues of safe behavior in the event of a natural disaster.  Such events help to increase awareness and preparedness of both students and all city residents for emergency situations, and the work of the Rescuer Club plays an important role in developing a safety culture among young people.
