The Botanical Garden is a green oasis of the city of Almaty.

On October 18, 2024, as part of the implementation of the sustainable development project of the future society of SDG 15 – "Protection, restoration of terrestrial ecosystems and promotion of their rational use, rational forest management, combating desertification, stopping and reversing the process of land degradation and ending the process of loss of biological diversity", a trip to the Botanical Garden for 2nd year students of the Logistics Department took place K2. The Botanical Garden is a Green oasis in the city of Almaty, the garden consists of a collection of 7000 plant taxa. A scientific research institute is located on the territory of the Botanical Garden, where the plant resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan are studied, economically valuable plant species are identified and cultivated. The Botanical Garden offers guided tours, visitors can explore lotus ponds, swan habitats, tree-shaded walking paths and exotic plants from all over the world. The purpose of the event is to familiarize students with the landscaping of the city, a collection of living plants that are used for scientific research, biodiversity conservation, demonstration and educational purposes.
